I don't understand the point of this article. Is this supposed to be a feel-good piece for the people who are upset about gay athletes?

Thanks for posting that. I had no idea that a person who wears baggy pants can also be mature. I guess the rest of the snowboarders are there strictly for the par tay.

You know NBC. They're all about making those people feel good.;)

I'm not sure what the point is either. I just didn't realize that being 23, married with child, having a job, attending church and having "the lifestyle of an adult" is now considered an "alternative lifestyle".

He's a freestyle skier. I don't know if he wears baggy pants.

Sounds tongue in cheek to me- I think they are picking on the other X Sports athletes who have piercings, alternate between snowboard communes and mom's basement, and live the true lifestyle of Xsports athletes. So when taking in the big picture of his colleagues, this young man lives an "alternative lifestyle".

Drats! I was looking forward, as a boring, middle aged family man, to becoming cutting edge.
