DHGate is apparently pretty sleazy. A total crapshoot; you may receive the goods your ordered, goods that vary substantially from what you think you ordered or no goods at all.

Dave, if you buy one of these, I will personally come over to your house and shake my finger in your general direction...that's all the energy I can muster.

By the time you sink the funds into getting the thing straightened out (fretwork, etc), you could have purchased something nicer from Warmoth, Carvin, and the like.

    Merry Christmas, buddy!

I wouldn't buy anything from DHGate. There are cheap necks on Ebay that would be a much better deal

Nothing there for me. I'm specifically looking for a neck with a maple fretboard and block inlays. Not trying to pay Warmoth prices.

If you can't find a used Squier VM Jazz neck, it's only $300 for the whole bass and you can sell the loaded body here for at least $100, I'd think.

That's the neck I have on there now. It's twisted and unstable. I'm looking for a more 'pro' neck to replace it with. I can buy a Mighty Mite (not really a 'pro' neck but they are stable) but they don't come with block inlays.

If u are in the states u should be able to order one from fender. I heard of some one on here getting a 70's p big block that way.

Sometimes it sucks to be a canuck

Damn, sorry to hear. Honestly, I don't think Mighty Mite is an upgrade from Squier. Sounds like the one you got is a dogg.

Dave I have a block maple/maple warmoth neck with the vintage gloss finish...It has the full profile with the steel bars and not the graphite one. It has to be the most stable wood nick I have ever had.

Yeah it was a little more, but so so worth it.

Yeah, I know. Just trying to avoid paying a lot of money. The tech who built the bass for me has just started building necks and he mentioned taking the neck and taking off the fretboard and installing bars. Not sure it's worth the hassle though. I like the neck profile (pretty much any jazz profile neck) but the bass was made specifically to have a certain look. Black & Maple w/blocks and binding. 70's style. Bass sounds killer with a full EMG active system. Problem is the E string side of the neck keeps bowing around the 2, 3, 4 & 5 frets. G string side is straight as an arrow.

Ironically there are no maple with perloid (white) block inlays in the showcase right now at Warmoth...But about 8 with the description you want.

Yeah, they have plenty necks, maple w/black blocks. Perfect but I just can't pay that much for a neck. Even the cheapest one was $295 before adding a nut and finish adding more to the price!
