Ditto X2 vs. original Boomerang - thoughts/insights?

Hi! I have an original Boomerang+ looper pedal, and I love it. I was inspired to get it by Phish's Trey Anastasio using one.

However it has a few issues that have bugged me for a while:
    - I'm pretty sure it's not true-bypass
    - It's really big
    - I have the extreme buzz known issue, which I can work around with alligator clips (and can permanently fix with solder work)
    - I wish it didn't need its own power supply

I have been keeping an eye out for a replacement for a while, but there weren't any affordable pedals that do reverse looping, a key feature of the 'Rang. However, now TC Electronic has added that feature to the new Ditto X2. They also advertise true bypass, and it's a pretty small enclosure. Pretty sure it uses a standard Boss PS too. So it looks like it scratches all the itches I have with the 'Rang.

However, with only 2 buttons to the 'Rang's 4, it doesn't seem quite as easy to use. That's the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger right away.

Has anyone used one of these yet? What are your impressions? It'd be amazing if someone has already compared it to the 'Rang - otherwise it looks like I'll have to do it!
