    Hi again, folks.

I am considering a change from the Helcore Lights that came on my SB88 (from Upton) to Zyex. Will I need to change the cut of the nut slots on the G and D, as the Zyex is quite a bit "fatter" than the Helicores, or can I just leave it the same?
    Thanks.

    John

See if the zyex "fit" easily into the slots. If not, have the slots widened. You could call upton and ask them if they finished the nut to accept zyex and other strings.

You should be posting these questions in the Setup/Repair forum.
