Dont like wear on the bass finish from string pops?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by JimiLL, Jan 19, 2014.

  1. I found out the perfect way to remedy this (at least with a laquered bass) is to put a smart phone screen cover on the bass anywhere there is player wear occuring. Actually I found that the backing plastic sticks to the finish very well, is crystal clear, comes off easily, and can be found very cheap and in abundance.

    Thank me not

I put an iPad screen saver on the back of my bass to prevent buckle rash. It works great. As you said, it sticks well and comes off clean leaving no residue, and it can be trimmed with scissors to leave room for battery compartments or control cavity covers.
