This instrument plays and sounds good, but it has a number of quirks.

First, whoever made it didn't line anything up. You can see in the pics how off the pickup routes are from the neck centerline. I'm pretty sure that's why it's got Schaller roller bridges on both sides.

EMG Hz pickups on both sides; they sound OK on the bass, but I really like how the guitar sounds. More Strat like than most hum buckers. There's a volume, tone, and 3-way switch for each neck, and then a 3 way switch to turn on either neck or both (there are two outputs, it is NOT wired so both necks can go through one).

The original neck (which I presume was made or fretted by the builder) had a stupid low first fret. That's why you're seeing copper shielding tape on that extra neck. I got a Squier CV 60's P neck on the bass side right now, which is much better than the original.

I had to sand the neck pocket a bit to get the Squier neck to fit. There is some general finish wear and flaking there, and in a couple other places.

Obviously, it's heavy. Probably around 15 lbs. Buyer will get the double-neck with the Squier neck installed (I'll put the top strap button back on, I had a strap lock there but needed it on a different bass) plus the original neck.

Where else are you gonna get a non-eBay-Chinese-Special double neck for $425 shipped? CONUS only, no trades, make an offer.

Perhaps $425 would be a fairer price?

Hmmm.... New boat anchor for the season? Hmmm.... 15 lbs should do it!

    (Only kidding!)

It's definitely hefty, but there are Les Paul's and T-40's that weigh as much. At least there's an excuse with this.

Price down to $425 shipped. Considering how much it'll cost to ship, it's a steal!

Did it sell yet? Your location says Syracuse. I might be able to save you on shipping as I travel to Watertown, NY pretty frequently. Any discount for pick up?

Long gone, sorry the threads still open. Last I saw a few weeks ago, the guy I traded it to was looking to sell or trade it.
