    Heck yeah, say NO to the music police. Great interview, phenomenal musician. Reminds me of Jimmy's thread about being a young musician: follow your heart, follow your art. Life is already out to box you in, your art shouldn't.

    I appreciate Doug highly because of this one record, John Whitehead's album 'I Need Money Bad', where Doug plays beautiful,tasty lines with large warm sound.

    I saw Doug at a bass clinic back in the 80's. Nicest dude ever, informative, funny and he totally brought the house down with his playing. One of the best experiences of my life. (That, and the John Entwhistle clinic)
