Hey guys, I just bought this amazing roscoe bass, but I have no clue of what year, model or wood was used on this one, also comes with EMG pickups which is unusual on roscoes, also no inlay on the fretboard, plus the controls are: volume, blend, and one that looks like its a passive tone, so no mids, bass, or treble controls, but in excellent condition for its age I am assuming 90's. Any help will be gladly appreciated. Thanks!

You should PM Gard. The top looks like koa. The body, dunno. Ash?

I assuming its a skb model, bubinga or redwood top, alder or cedar body, pao ferro fingerboard, maple neck with purple heart. the headstock is the same wood as the body.

How is the action on that bass? I saw the Ebay auction and the action looked really high on it or else I would have bought it! :) Hope everything turns out well with the purchase.

PM Gard or post this info over in the Roscoe sponsored forum. Gard can hook you up with the info.

What does the action in a picture matter? Think that one got out of the "factory" with a warped neck or something?

Because if so you need to stop that manner of thinking immediately. You might have missed out a killer bass that may or may not need a minor setup.

    Im here to help.

I think this is an early LG model, back when it was still the LG-2000... i saw a roscoe bass like this on ebay and asked the ppl at roscoe about it and thats the response i got. its got the same shape as the current LG bodies but without all the contours... it also had EMG's... i believe it was an early or mid 90's model

Sorry, didn't get that question for some reason!

Top is Koa, body is Ash, fingerboard is some kind of rosewood or pau ferro, but I can't tell for certain.

    :)

    Nice lookin' bass!
