The newer XO versions, green bass one vs. purple bass one.

Has anyone compared this to the regular EHX Micro Synth? I'm looking for a new synth pedal (returned my Boss SYB-5) and I find the EHX Micro Synth more appealing over the EHX BMS (purple is my favourite color, and that's the only reason I'm considering it over the BMS, completely ridiculous, I know) but if there's a huge difference I'd obviously go with the EHX BMS.

On the EHX site it says the BMS is "tailored for the low end" but I've heard that about Boss pedals and the regular and bass often sound very similar.

And can either one get a "Madness" (by Muse) sorta sound? I got it from the SYB-5 but that's about the only thing I found it did really well. That won't be the only thing I'll be using it for, but I found the SYB-5 did that quite well IMO.

Last I checked, a few years ago, the BMS was about $10 more than the MS. I know that Trey Gunn (King Crimson, etc) uses or used the MS on his full range touch style guitar.
I've been told the difference was the range if the filter.
