    Hi guys.

I just bought this Emperador P-Bass style. The singer in the band said she had an old bass that she got from her father some years ago. She wanted ~100 Euros and i just bought it without trying it out or seeing it, she needed money and i had the cash.

She took the bass to the studio and i played it with the band, omfg. This is one of the nicest basses ive ever played... It was a bit "hummy" in the electronics, but the build quality and feel of this thing... Its just plain amazing.

Anybody knowing anything about Emperador? Googled a bit and someone wrote its an old Japanese brand.

All other fokes that have tryed it now is equally amazed. I will never sell this thing in my life, thats for sure... :)

    Cheers

  2. .
My first bass guitar was an Emperador P-bass.
    Way back in about 1981-82.

I should have hung onto it, it was a nice bass!
I only sold it to fund the purchase of my Rickenbacker.

It's like an Emperor with an "ad."

Emperador was a registered brand of Jack Westheimer's stateside import company. The earlier ones were supplied by Kasuga in Japan, but yours looks to be from after production had moved to South Korea.
