I searched and found a few mentions of replacing the tuners with Hipshot Ultralites but have read conflicting info on whether they're 3/8" or 1/2".

I'd also like to hear if anyone has used Xtenders as I saw some questions as to whether they'll fit with the level. Anyone have personal experience with one?

Also does anyone know the exact model they've used?

Check out the Gotoh GB 528s Res-O-Lites for open gear option. The Hipshots will leave exposed holes on the headstock. The Hipshots are very nice but I really wish I'd known about the Gotoh's at the time.

Cool. I'm getting a suede backed strap to see if that's enough to combat the neck dive but I'd still like to hook up an Xtender.

Anyone have personal experience with an Xtender on this bass?
