Does anyone know where i can find a gallery of exotic basses. By exotic I mean the basses that lean more toward the designer bass, with tops resembling (not real sure of the wood names) dingwall, benavente, and pedulla. Some woods along those lines. You know, some of the flashier woods and construction. Thanks.

Did someone say "Exotic". If you're looking for high-end, this is it:

    www.thegrooveshoppe.com

Check out the "Sold" section of the "In Stock" page.

Usually some killer Jerzy Drozd basses.

Also there is a very familiar Conklin 7 Sidewinder on there for sale.

Oh yea, if you go to the "Bass Gallery" then to "Gallery 4", my bass is the second bass on the sixth row down. Jerzy Drozd Excellency IV/28.

Sorry, I just had to put that in there, such an excellent bass.

Bass Alone in San Diego has a very nice selection - I'm there drooling every couple of weeks!

I have found this really exotic bass on Facebook but the thing is there is no name on it and I don't know the company that makes this bass. I would really like to know who makes this bass. This is a 5 string Fretless Bass and here is a photo of it.

This gal has been trying to document every brand of bass ever made. She has done a lot of work creating ways you can sort them. Try going to this link and clicking on boutique basses. It's a fun site to explore.

Thanks PD. There's also a category for "Atypical Basses" that might apply as exotic.
