Original AS large 3/4 bass serial no. 2290 (1953 according to the R. Stowers site.) Solid bass in good condition. Recent work includes top-off rib repair, neck reset w/increased overstand and set up.

Neck has never been broken or cracked. Quality ebony f/b looks too good to be original. Adjustable bridge is not new, but fine (some wood was added for increased string height preference.) Tuners seem to have been changed - see photos. String length is the original AS 43". Currently strung with brand new D'Addario Helicore hybrids.

Like most of these, it sounds great - loud, punchy, good sustain, etc.

All things considered, $3,400 seems fair. I would entertain offers, but I'm not in a particular hurry.

Located in the NYC area and prefer local sale, but would consider shipping. Will monitor thread and answer questions, or PM me. Thanks!
