Excellent sounding pickups, but thought I'd try the JVX set on my recently acquired Geddy. Therefore you'll notice the JVX box with Vol-Vol-Tone controls & pots included. (I left my original controls with bass/treble pot on the bass). With EMG, all this is interchangeable with easy plug-ins. Rubber cushions for snug fit included!

    $90 shipped in the CONUSA.

What's the main difference you notice between these and the JVX set?

The JVX have a more open, percussive sound than these. There's a great demo by Ed Friedland on YouTube where you can hear the JVX. The EMG site has numerous videos where Bobby Vega demos many of the models.
These have the traditional solid active sound: tight, clean and focused. Plenty of low end and high end sizzle there if you need it!

Courtesy bump to a really super deal on EMGs.

This ad is what I call the "Cheapskate Bus".

Because if you're a cheapskate in search of a bargain on excellent pickups, your bus has just arrived. Hop on kiddies.
