    Up for sale is my beloved Fodera Emperor Deluxe 5 String bass. I am the original and only owner. The bass is in exceptional condition with no dings or scratches.
    The only sign of age is some very light fading on the bridge / hardware. (Nothing that a good polish couldn't fix). The maple / walnut spec is a rare Fodera combination that delivers an amazing tone!

    Specs are as follows:

    Birth Year: Late 2007
    Model: Emperor Deluxe 5 String
    Top Wood: 5A Quilted Maple
    Body Wood: Walnut
    Fingerboard Wood: Birdseye Maple
    Neck: 3 Piece Maple
    Neck Joint: Dovetail
    Scale Length: 35"
    Strings: 5 - 19mm Spacing
    Frets: 24
    Hardware: Gold
    Pickups: Fodera / Duncan Dual Coils
    Pickup Covers: Black Plastic (Exposed Poles)**
    Preamp: Fodera / Pipe Custom Shop 3-Band (Pre 2010)
    Deluxe Fodera Hardshell Case

    *Bass originally shipped with black plastic preamp controls. Bass now has matching gold preamp controls. Will ship with original black plastic controls too.
    **Bass will ship with spare set of Fodera Black Plastic pickup covers, (non-exposed poles).

    Bass is located in Melbourne, Australia.

    An identical bass ordered today with these specs would list at $10K USD.

    Emperor = $8,150
    Quilt Top = $750
    Maple FB = $500
    Duncans = $600

    Total = $10,000

    [DEL]I'm looking for $10K (Australian Dollars), which works out roughly at $8,915USD at todays exchange rate, (www.xe.com). [/DEL]
    Price Drop to sell. Buyer to pay shipping.
    [DEL]Looking for $8000USD. [/DEL]Now asking for $7500 USD!

    Why would you sell something like that?! It's beautiful...and I don't usually like Fodera's

    I have two Fodera's that are more similar in tone than they are dis-similar...
    Lots of money to have tied up in just two instruments, so I'm hoping to turn this into 2 or 3 other basses that will diversify my tonal arsenal...

    Will definitely be hard to let it go though, that's for sure!

    Nobody is stupid enough to actually pay me to play their gear.
    I was just thinking the same.

    Beyond the figuring, the dark walnut and light maple top look killer together. Very cool contrast.

    Can't afford it, but I look at this ad every day. Beautiful bass and great price for a Fodera.
