I vaguely remember episodes from when they were on TV years ago. A few days ago I discovered it on netflix and I'm hooked. I forgot how good the show is. Cheesy, low budget, some sub par acting, but over all very good science fiction. I can't remember the plot much so it's pretty much all new to me. Any other sci fi nerds on board?

I've been watching it again since it was added to Netflix, great show.

There's something special about sci fi's which used large sets and animatronics, minimal CGI FTW!

I'm currently working my way though all the Torchwoods on Netflix. I just finished watching two episodes.

    Huh?
I really liked it. One of the few Sci-Fi series my wife actually enjoyed.
They're currently showing it on the network "Pivot".

    1) Cheesy
    2) Low budget
    3) Sub par acting
    4) Overall very good

Fringe is good. I really enjoyed it, saw it as a newer x-files type show.

    Well played sir, well played!

    Yes, yes she is.

I like they way the show used made up profanity rather than having the characters never curse, which is more unrealistic than fictional curse words.
    What the yotz!?

Another great show that sadly ended too soon.
I've seen the 14 episodes and movie so many times I can't watch them again for a few years.

Sadly a victim of Fox's poor time slotting and itchy trigger finger on the cancel button.

Space Above & Beyond was another victim of theirs, and another excellent show (granted, quite dated looking in that didn't age well fashion).

Perhaps not, but the main thing about the show (for me anyway) was that it was a lot of fun and very entertaining, and that out weighed any negatives. Besides, despite the low budget, it looked good, and the acting wasn't that bad. And it's not that often you get to peep at an alien hottie's big blue behind! (Virginia Hey FTW!)

Farscape is awesome. I missed it when it was in production too.
Fringe sucks except for Walter. That man is my hero.
