    TRADED

It's minty, real Darkstar pickup, matching headstock, ALDER body, perfect US Lakland neck and playability. Never gigged. Original deluxe white Lakland HSC or an even better, smaller and lighter brand new Fender 60th Anniversary P bass case, your choice. Hipshot D-tuner and Dunlop Straploks.

Darkstars are my favorite single coil pup and are quieter than typical SCs, and no longer made.

This bass will only go up in value.

Trade interests lately: burgundy or white Rics, other Laklands, Peavey T-40s, Sarzos, Cirrus 4,5 or 6 strings, Warwick Dolphins or old pink Thumb 4 strings (you know the one), project beater basses or .... Throw offers at me... even amps and cabs. I value this bass at $2600 plus and will most likely sell it after the holiday if I don't trade it.

    Thanks,
    Jody

Lotsa questions already. I will weigh it tomorrow and also go over it with a fine tooth comb.

Never gigged and smoke-free case queen, deserves to be in the spotlight. I'm an active Humbucker guy or this would be a lifer.

I'm literally wearing almost the exact same bass (except it's sonic blue with a mint guard, only difference) and I want this one too.

    It's THAT good.

Yes, "better", "more ballsy"... enough said. I've tried so many times to get into P basses with the typical split humbucker pickup. I just can't like em! Single coils ROCK though, especially Darkstars because they're not noisy. If I could stick another darkstar in this bass near the bridge, and add a preamp.... but that would be a sin. A true P bass man (or woman) should get this and be gigging regularly with it.

Ok I weighed myself and then myself with the bass 3 times. Twice the difference was 7.5 pounds. Once it was 8 pounds. Here's pics. ImageUploadedByTalkBass1387549025.730810.jpg ImageUploadedByTalkBass1387549043.450004.jpg

And every time with the bass.... ImageUploadedByTalkBass1387549083.748227.jpg

I knew it was light but I'd rather error on the side of caution and say it's 8-ish pounds.

Been texting the previous owner, we're pretty good buddies :). He ordered/got the bass direct from Lakland with a Chisonic pickup installed. Later, he got the Darkstar installed.

I had forgotten that. Anyways, he sent and I have the tort Chisonic-cut pickguard somewhere in my parts collection. I also have a black US guard that's cut for a split P that I got from when I had a pink Glaub P/J.

Anyways... my point is, this bass is convertible!!! Split P, Chisonic, or Darkstar.... a little solder and BAM!
