I tried it out; not fond of the neck profile (thinner front to back as opposed to the American Standard).

  6. First off, welcome to Talkbass. Nice to see new people joining in. Just thought I'd like to say that this type of thread has been covered and you would have found many of those by just searching for American Special using the search function. At least then you'll get instant info instead of waiting for people to reply. Happy reading.

I don't own it, but I've tried one at a store and really loved the slimmer neck.

I hear that from a lot of people. I am waiting for a model to show up in the store's so i can test them.

Guys are right, the search function is your friend, but what the heck...there have been several threads about them recently (one started by me - the happy owner of a Honey Burst P) but here ya go!

    Again, welcome!!
