I recently had my 2012 jazz bass set up for the first time
The tech did a nice job.
He lowered the neck pick up to about 1/2 the height of the bridge pick up.
he said the "blended" sound would be "sweeter"
I have only had a chance to play it through a very small practice amp. The only difference i can hear with that amp is the volume is much lower.
Does anybody have any thoughts on this?
    Thanks

I will be hearing it out of my main amp at a gig fiday nite. I was just curious

Bring a screwdriver to the gig. Your tech should never have changed the pickup height unless you told him to. He just drastically changed the sound of your bass when both pickups are at 100%.

It's normal. Neck pickup typically ends up much lower than the bridge pickup, but output should be fairly balanced between the two.
