That's what I would think if all you see is a bunch of bodies for sale.

I don't think Fender sells any parts for Cabronitas, yet. Parting them out fills demand. And the necks are really nice, IMO. It wouldn't surprise me to start seeing those swapped onto other Fender bodies.
I don't think Warmoth sells their Cabronita bodies anymore, either. If that's the case, there's a void that needs filling.

Oh OK I didn't think about the necks being in demand, that makes sense...I myself like the headstock shape so I contoured the headstock on my VM Squier...

I heard the necks on the Squier cabronita are slimmer and easier to play

Maybe they're "warranty return" basses who's necks couldn't be shimmed or adjusted enough to make the cut as "refurbished" so they are being parted-out.

La Cabronita bodies are alder. Cabronita bodies are basswood. Could it be that some are finding their bodies to be too heavy and are swapping for lighter ones? I've got a Cab that weighs in at 9lbs 6oz. That's heavier than I like, but the bass is just too cool to let that stand in the way. At least for now.
