I have a Jazz bass with a BAII. I'm looking for a replacement bridge suggestions.
I would put a stock Fender bridge....what year is the bass? can you put the strings through the body? ...more info or a picture would help
It works great on millions of basses.
I am a fan on the Fender American Deluxe Bridge. It has a thicker plate, grooved saddles, black screws and springs that don't rust like chrome. They are about $80.00. Noticeably higher quality over the standard Fender Bridges.
This, plus threaded saddles.
Check out the Gotoh 203.
It's Fender style with plate grooves and not expensive.
It has less mass than the Gotoh 201.
I just removed a hipshot A from a jazz and installed a vintage threaded saddle bridge. I've been using them for years-I could not see any advantage to the hipshot on this bass.
