I saw an ad for a Fender Custom Shop Jazz Bass. It looks like it has different custom features, like special inlays and stuff. It has the Custom Shop decal on the front of the headstock though, and I looked up pictures of Custom Shop Jazz Basses and I couldn't find any pictures of a bass with that decal on the front. So I'm wondering if the bass is a fake (for other possible reasons as well). Is the Custom Shop decal ever put in the front of the bass' headstock?
    Thanks!

Thats why you ask for a COA when debating a CS purchase.

No it didn't look like that, but it did look suspicious and the price was ridiculously low. I'm almost certain it's fake.

    Thanks guys!

Notice that the 'smart' seller doesn't actually ever say "custom shop" anywhere in his listing.

Looks like a Squier Active Jazz 5er with some ugly addons.

Amazingly bogus. Of course, the fact that the price is about one order of magnitude too low does give one pause. :eyebrow: :rollno:  :scowl: :spit:
