Why not a club for us? Post a pic of your Fender Frankenstein, along with a description of what you did to it. Mine is a '74 P neck, '74 jazz body that someone stripped off the paint, filled the holes with wood putty, and a thick coat of clear finish. BadassII bridge, Hipshot D-tuner, and Dimarzio pickup. Heavy and ugly as sin, but sounds fantastic.

Bad shot, but it was taken really quickly on my way to the guitar store.

    2010 Squier Affinity P-bass body
    1996 Fender MIM P-bass neck
    SD 1/4-Pounder p-up
    Spector Tonepump Pre-amp
    250K CTS volume pot
Stock MIM bridge (this has since been swapped to the same bridge Carvin uses on their J & P basses)

Mine was the opposite: P body, Jazz neck (couldn't tell you the years). Was the first bass I ever owned, and as Fender goes, it was the best of both worlds for me. Wish I had a pic.

1980something fuji-gen body, bill lawrence p-46s, warmoth reverse jazz slim taper neck. Plays absolutely amazing. I actually attribute a lot of where I am today as a bass player to this bass. It almost coerces you to groove rather than shred, and has a fat, woody tone that sits in and yet presses out of the mix that I'll never get tired off.

I didn't do that. That's how the truss adjustment is on the newer Modern Player basses. Every bass on the market should have the musicman style wheel. So much easier.

Did some cosmetic mods and thanks to fellow TBer 3234718, I got a perfect replacement neck from earlier model MIJ jazz

Dang, Chef, I've seen some of your other posts - how many axes do you have (I'm almost scared to ask)?
