I heard from a pretty reliable source that Fender may be in financial trouble. Hard to believe that this American institution would close up shop. Anybody know anything?

They don't have enough signature models, that's the problem.

I think people has started to realize that Ford is not the only car manufacturer around.

it's like toyota, you can buy a guitar and keep it for a really long time, if you have an awesome 79 bass or car, you don't need to buy a new one repeatedly

If they do go under someone will just buy em out anyway. Fender is a big brand with lots of things attached to it.

If things get too bad they'll regroup and put little "Backed by Squier" stickers on the back to make the customers feel better.

I heard that Chinese labor was getting too expensive and the labor and environmental regs are getting too restrictive so they will be moving all production to Texas to cut costs.

    Hi.

That institution would probably close up the National museums, Parks and Monuments for a while before doing something major like that.

    ;)

Never, EVER underestimate the need for a smiley.
