Well, bills need to be paid, so I'm selling my MIJ Fender Jaguar bass. It's in fantastic condition with only a chip at the tip of the headstock. It is a comfortable weight and has a very slim and fast jazz bass style neck. It is extremely versatile with two passive jazz pickups, a series-parallel switch, and a switchable active 2-band preamp (with treble and bass controls) as well as the passive tone control. In passive mode, it can go from a smooth vintage jazz tone, to a super snarly rickenbacker-esque growl. When active, the preamp is very powerful and snappy (think Marcus Miller)

As far as changes, I took a green scotchbrite to the back of the neck to make it a smooth/slick satin feel. I just really don't care for the thick sticky gloss that Fender goes with. I have also replaced the vintage style bridge with a high-mass bridge, but I will include the original bridge as well. I am including a Fender Pro Series Hardshell (with link at bottom of post). It has a few tiny tolex tears at the bottom corner, but is in otherwise great condition. Looking $600 shipped.

Some more pics of the neck (end of the satin transition to gloss on headstock)

    Bump

BTW, I'm not 100 percent positive, but I believe this bass was made in either 2009 or 2010 (the year that they discontinued the original run).

To answer a question someone asked me about the weight, I'm really not sure what the exact weight is, other than the fact that it doesn't seem heavy. I'll see if I can check it with a scale tonight.

Looks to be between 8 and 8.5 lbs worn with a mono strap.

I will also throw in the original neck-plate, (the Fender F just fits this model in my opinion.)

Very nice deal with the case, and I like that neck treatment.

Thanks. You'd be amazed at how fast a neck can get with a 30 second touch up with a green (or grey) scotchbrite. Smooth and slick.
