Hi, I purchased a 2007 American fender jazz deluxe body on eBay. I bought it with intentions to make a custom bass out if it. I started working on it and have realized that I am having a VERY hard time finding a neck. It's a 5 bolt neck. I can really use some advice. Thanks!

None - but willing to discuss!
What kind of advice? Invest in plastics? Never walk in a lightning storm with a metal rod? Don't talk to strangers?

Do you know where I can get a neck? I contacted fender and they are no longer making necks with the 5 bolt pattern. I also check warmoth and they don't make necks with the 5 bolt pattern.

Ask one of the companies not to drill pilot holes in the neck.

Transfer the holes from the body onto the replacement neck.

Drill hole, then drive in screw ONE AT A TIME.

The neck is attached with wood screws. If you have a neck that fits the pocket, can't you just drill pilot holes as needed?

Also, my new American Deluxe basses are five bolt necks, so Fender does make such a thing. Not sure if you can buy one, but if you can, you will have an excellent neck. They would probably not be cheap, if they would sell them.
