For sale: 4 string Fender Precision Bass Lyte
    MIJ
S/N: B006163 (online search shows this is 1985-1986 model year)
    unfinished neck

good condition; plays great, very clean. Sadly, I do not play much any longer, so rather than have it collect dust...

Photos attached. (had to convert set to pdf to get under file size - if you want full size, let me know.)

Few small nicks here and there, etc. Note: there are two small holes near bridge...they were there when I purchased.

    $500 + shipping (from Oklahoma)

    comes with a gig bag

Wow! Nice one, super clean, not much oxidation on the metal. That looks like a Precision Lyte Deluxe (solid mahogany body, gold tone hardware). My 1997 version weighs about 7.5 pounds. Active-only electronics. Really punchy and surprisingly authoritative. Jazz width neck, plays like a dream. MIJ magic. A Fender best-kept secret.

    GLWTS!

Price now lowered $50 to $450 + shipping from Oklahoma (about $65 to the coast, less to midwest). Thanks for interest!

    Is this a
Precision Lyte with a Jazz bridge pickup, or
Precision Lyte Deluxe with Humbucking bridge pickup.
    Thanks.

If the OP doesn't mind...that is a Deluxe. Sweet bass indeed.

True, but how much does this one weigh is the question.

Thank you ShowLow - you are correct. It is a Deluxe.

Weight - sethlow3 - the bass is currently boxed for shipment - had a sale fall through - and I have someone else interested. If you are seriously interested in buying, I will open and get you the weight. But it is light! (as ShowLow remarked...)

I own one of these and it is in the mid 7 lb range. Sounds like a P and plays like a J. I use it for a Motown band and it is perfect.
