OK....I bought this last Tuesday! and I am selling it before I get too attached to it. I just found out yesterday my unemployment runs out in 3 weeks! I am going to be really bummin soon I have to sell this....I already have a couple selects so really dont need a 3rd with no money coming in soon. this one is really cool looking it has some flame in the quatersawn maple neck. $1550 shipped....they are 2399 at guitar center.
This is a super special bass brand new for pretty much the same price as a standard!!
I think I played it for a half hour then waxed it and put it back in its case and its been in the closet since.

here is how it sounds...its the best sounding jazz bass I have ever heard! very full and even sounding! I just learned this song and cant play the solo yet but I wanted to hear what it sounded like on here.

I have this one too....so the active and the P is enough for me...there is no need for a 3rd with no money coming in!

I have had a job for the last 20 years! this is the first time I ever had off ! plus I have 7 basses...I really have to get rid of a couple! there is no need for them just sitting in their cases....no job+7 basses I think the natural order of things is sell a couple basses then get a job.

I dont have an accurate scale....but Its lighter then my active select jazz and standard jazz....also lighter then my warmoth that I know is 9.5....so I would put it right at 9....its a touch heavier then my P select thats 8.8

My select passive jazz is 8.7lbs so excellent guess..the lucky buyer who purchases this bass will love the special select jazz wind pickups in them and the ONLY way to get em is to buy the bass!!! They dont sell them independently

I have one also and it just kills. Super-comfortable neck, really good pickups, great tone with flats and rounds. Underneath the pretty flame, it's a bulletproof Fender USA Jazz which can stack up to any Custom Shop offering. I much prefer it to the active version - I could see these being pretty collectible one day.
