Fender Sting Sig Bass. Technically, this is a mutt bass but it has definitely been done right. This is made of all Fender parts (ie...actual Fender '51RI neck and Fender Sting body). If you want the Sting look without the goofy Sting Signature block at the 12th fret, this is it. Asking $650 + shipping on this one. (Lower 48 only at this time.)

Updated my trade list. Really need to hold out for a 5 string or cash at this point.

    Trades considered:
    Ibanez 1205E, 1405E, 1605E, SR805
    Carvin 5 string- SB5000, LB75, PB5
    Lakland 5 strings
    Fender MIM Deluxe J5

I don't have a lot of funding available, but might be able to squeeze out a little if the right trade presented itself. Please don't PM asking if I'll give $2000 plus this bass for your high end bass. As much as I would love to do that, I just don't have that kind for cash available.

    • Sting Sig body.
    • Lindy Fralin split coil pickup. It is still in the single coil format as the original pickup. You just don't have to worry about the single coil hum with this bad boy.
    • Older style American Standard individual saddle bridge for better intonation (awesome upgrade IMO). Still string through body.
    • The sting neck was changed to a '51RI Precision neck. Reverse vintage style tuners.
    • Pickup cover, bridge cover, dunlop strap locks all come with it.

The bad on this bass is that there is a ding on the bottom bout near the strap pin. I've tried to get a pic of it. It's pretty deep, but all of the paint is still there. Also, I think the G string tuner elephant ear part might be slightly bent. I can't tell if it's my eyes playing tricks or if it's actually bent. Just wanted to put that out there. Other than that, I don't know of anything else. It's a great great bass regardless of it's flaws....Plus they add character. =)

Ships in a generic gig bag.

I really love this bass and don't necessarily want to sell it, but I find myself in need of a 5 string once again. It sounds killer and no hum like a typical single coil P bass. Really light bass (8ish lbs would be my guess). Action is low and easy to play. This thing is KILLER! Comes with additional Wilkins style 2 saddle bridge, 3 pickguards (mint that is on it, white, and tort) and wooden thumb rest.

Just weighed the bass. It's actually lighter than I thought. 8 lbs even is what it read on my bathroom scale that is semi-accuratish.

Yes, this is not a top load bridge and is STB only. It is however a vast improvement over the 2 saddle bridges that originally come on these.

Several PM's that I'm fixin' to respond to.

sorry, just now saw this. I thought I had all that info in the ad, but I just looked and sure enough, it's not there. Sorry about that.

Both the neck and body are from Fender CIJ basses.
