Fender Taperwound

    Sorry if this topic has already been brought up. When I purchased my 2008 Fender Precision Bass it came with a set of these on them

    A few years ago they changed the packaging

    and they also changed the way they did their strings and they are just not the same, they lack that loose feeling with a nice snap. I have a few basses still strung with the old style and I'm looking for something with the same feel if anyone out there has had the same experience let me know what you currently use.

    The only taperwounds I've used since Fender changed their specs are SITs. I like them, but they still are not the same as the old Fender tapers. The SIT E string is .105 instead of the .108 the old Fender E had. Still, they are not a bad set.
