    SOLD!!!!!!!

You know the bass. Might very well be the best Jazz Fender ever made.
Mahogany body with thick Koa top. And there is some nice grain in this top. Not like some that are kind of bland. This one is nice.
    Maple neck rosewood fingerboard.
Here's the catch with this one....it's wired passive.
    And it sound awesome.
The previous owner yanked the preamp and couldn't find it. I have all the original gold knobs as well.
I will include a brand new 2 band pre by Seymore Duncan.
I would say an easy 9 out of 10 condition.
    In great shape.
    OHSC.

Unless it says Xotic or Sadowsky on the headstock.... ;)

The pickup cover is held on by double sided 3M tape (foam).
And can be removed with zero residue.

I played this bass in the local shop before Mike bought it and it's a sweet one. I was tempted to buy it myself but didn't need a Jazz Bass, plus it was gone the next time I went there. If I had the spare cash though I'd still make an offer on it.
Mike's a great guy to deal with, so here's a bump for him.

Question about the knobs and how it is wired.

I believe the VB preamp the top knobs with volume and pickup blend. Then there was a double stacked knob for treble and bass. The last bottom knob for mids.

How is this one wired? The double knob looks to be missing. ( I realize it is included just not installed. Is that correct?)

How dark is the rosewood board on this one? Sometimes hard to tell when using a flash for pictures.

    Thank you.

Even though it's totally illogical and unnecessary (just sold my Sadowsky after all), I've been tempted to check this bad boy out.

    It wired like this:
The top two are Vol/Vol (neck and bridge)
The front knob on the bottom is tone.
The rear knob doesn't do anything.

And the pictures are actually pretty darn close to its actual color.

    Make me an offer.....;)

Call me Kev, you can borrow it for a few if you want.

The only reason I'm selling it is I picked up an Xotic XJ-1T 4 string.
Gotta pay for it some how!!!
