As the thread title, suddenly the left screen on my recently acquired Zoom B3 died. The section works but the screen it's just blank! The other two screens are ok.
    Any thoughts?

Maybe do a factory reset. Page 31 in your manual.

Warning: You'll lose any changes or patches you've saved.

Done that, and a firmware update too... Nothing. Left screen is blank.

Damn... This unit seems to have a lot of fans here and elsewhere and there aren't many people complaining about quality. Done a lot of search on the web and no one seems to have experienced something like this before...

Have you thought of taking the top of the case off (4 screws, from what I can tell) to see if you can spot a bad connection, or a connector off?

A long shot, but it might be worth it unless you aren't comfortable doing that. Your only recourse after that is your warranty, if it is still within that period.

EDIT: Actually, it's 6 screws - one in each corner and then one on either side of the battery case. If you do open it up, there is a small 2-wire connector to each screen that appears to supply power to that module. Check those out, if you are comfortable with that.

Look at the tiny connectors with the red/black wires.

When you pull the base off, the red/black wire connector from the battery case may pull off from the circuit board (upper right corner). Red is pin 1 and black is pin 2.

OK, back to the Zoom warranty at this point.
Too bad. Curious to hear how that goes.

I purchased it three days ago from a dealer so it shouldn't be a problem to have it replaced...

    Probably just a lemon unit.

Nessun problema, paesano, proprio come le bottiglie di vino, a volte ci sono un paio di bottiglie non all'altezza della qualità e questo è normale. E 'tempo di aprire un altro! Salute! :D
