Flatsawn Fingerboard ?

    Ok i've never done this before but will flatsawn purpleheart be a bad choice for a fingerboard. I usually use 1/4 sawn or close to it so I'm not sure what this will do. Any help would be appreciated.

    There is no reason it wouldn't be just fine.

    flatsawn wood can chip out a little more on a refret.

    ive never had a problem with a flatsawn fingerboard.....go for it.
