I was finally able to duplicate that pedal pretty closely- without all the hiss- on the Zoom B3.

I always liked the sound when the attack switch was set on 1. It was great as a synth base (base, not bass) when the drive was cranked a bit and also works for a Kings X feel.

Tweak to taste according to your bass but it's basically the Squeak->Graphic Eq (scooped mids)-> ZNR noise gate.

The Squeak (ProCo Rat clone) seemed to be the only distortion that got in the range of the PD-7...really close. It has a nice bite in the high mids.

    FYI.

Please share a clip! I've been thinking of taking the PD7 off ny board because of the hiss. I do not own a B3 but I'd consider it if it could get close to the PD7.. idk.. but yea please post a clip! :)
