Roll back the clock to the early days, these basses are a blast. This one has been hopped up with a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder, the same spirited grind as the stock pickup only more of it. A little over nine pounds on the bathroom scale, not bad for such a serious slab of ash as this. Very nice shape, some light scratches at the front edge of the bridge cover and a couple of dimples elsewhere; nothing through the finish and nothing to divert attention from the awsome white loafers and matching belt that these look best with. No sprouting or fret wear, the neck is as new. Two extra holes drilled up front for a thumb rest between the covers, it was always in my way so off it went. Includes a nice black tolex hard case, $575 shipped and insured CONUS.

Where and when is this one made and was the bass routed for split p or is the 1/4 lber a single coil size? Super cool bass bump!

This is made in Japan, 2007. The route is for a single coil pickup, not the split P type.

Just to chime in here, I owned one of these and installed the Quarter Pounder in it. Tons more "oomph" than the stock pickup without losing the "singing" character the single-coil P bass is known for having. If you are wanting a single-coil P, then the SCPB3 pickup makes this bass the one you want.

Came to say the same thing---dropped a QP in my Sting Bass and it came to life!
