For sale feeler. NO trade offers please. This is a for sale feeler.I may or may not sell but wanted to test the market for this bass. I ordered this bass new and purchased it in 1994. The bass is in excellent condition, particularly for a nearly 20 year old bass. There's a couple of chips in the headstock and not much else. Before I sell I can take high res images of anything you may want to see. The inlay was done by Larry Robinson. The body is alder, top burled maple, and the board is Cocobolo. No truss rod and trust me it doesn't need it. Plays and sounds perfect. Let me know if you have any questions. Modulus has brought the Quantum TBX back and while they don't offer a 4-string, a 5-string starts at over $8000 list. I have the original color brochure, spec sheet I used to order the bass, purchase receipt, and the original invoice from Modulus to the dealer I bought it from. I guarantee you'll not find one just like this anywhere. Thanks. Dave

I guess I was supposed to put a price in this listing, sorry about that. There are so few of these out there, I don't know what it will bring. I guess I'll have to start at $2900. It is a feeler at this point so I'm looking for feedback from interested parties. Thanks.

These are rare. I have an 80s N/T Modulus fretless and it is an amazing instrument!

I've been told by several people there were only 11 4-strings Quantum TBX basses produced. I've never tried to verify this but I trust the folks I heard it from. It's definitely a rare piece.

If you get in touch with Geoff Gould (geoff@ggould.com) he can probably tell you a bit more about the bass and how many were made. Geoff is always super helpful when asked questions about the early Modulus basses.

I'll give it a few more days. Reduced to $2350 plus shipping. Man I'll keep it if the soft market won't yield this price. Thanks to all who've inquired. Dave
