A bass I really never thought I would let go, but a particular need overrides my desire to hang on. And she hasn't been getting much love lately. With that, here is my 1983 Peavey Foundation. Definitely a player's bass. Nothing super ugly, but she has been gigged with battle scars to prove it. Bought it here last year from RawOrange. It remains in the condition I bought it in.Comes with the period accurate hard case with the plush completely intact. The S.D. pickups that are installed are pretty rare, and lend to a versatile array of tones. The bass tends to be a bit bright, but can be subdued with rolling the tone knob back. There is a very minor separation of the neck seem about two inches below the headstock. Not a big deal, it has remained rock solid, but I want to be completely honest about what is here. Still a very awesome first year Foundy. Fender-branded Schaller strap locks installed. I will also include the Levy's strap pictured.
As far as what I need-I posted a thread/poll the other day on this. My absolute desperation for a Boss Dimension C is what has prompted this bass to go up on the block. I am hoping for an even swap for this pedal. If you are interested in purchasing the bass, I'll sell for what I paid-$225.00 shipped. Other trades I will consider-
    Gallien Krueger MB200 (American made)
    Older GK heads-400RB, 200 RCB, MB150E
    Ampeg Portabass 250 head
Any decent acoustic or semi-hollow electric bass (fretless prefered)
    Boss GT-6B

Pic of the separation. Present when I purchased the bass, and has never been an issue.

Possible purchase of a DC-2 in the works. Bass may still be up for sale, and other trade interests may also be listed, as my band will be taking on some acoustic work. Up for now!

Still here. For now, Boss DC-2 swap is still king, but a cash sale will be fine also. Tuesday wee hours bump!

I used to own this one. Not only did the bass play great and feel spectacular, the pickups are fantastic! Tons of tonal possibilities.
This is one of those basses that is priced like a beater, but could take over for your main axe.

    GLWTS!

What are the specs on the pickups, how do they vary from the originals?
