I have been a long time fan of Incognito and just listen to this
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euawq1yFGiw

Listening to "Night over egypt" (start 26:30) I am wondering: is there a note he could play different that woudl make this any better?

    Absolutely perfect.

Incognito always seems to have great bass players. I'm amazed that there are so many of them.

I guess Incognito doesn't pay that well, since they keep getting new guys.

The concept of incognito is to have different people playing on different albums to draw in different talents. All in all 1500 people played with incognito. Currently the touring band has been pretty much the same for 5 years or so. And some people have been playing with them for a long time, like Maysa for example.
