    *SOLD*

I need to sell my custom 5 string bass guitar made by Chris Benavente (http://benaventeguitars.com/). This is a one-of-a-kind, custom Vortex style bass by Chris with:

    • a hollowed-out body with spruce top
    • 3-tone tobacco sunburst finish
    • alder body
    • maple 3 piece neck
    • matching headstock
    • unlined rosewood fingerboard
    • Suhr custom pickups & preamp (active/passive)
    • wood covered pickups & controls
    • mid-range selector switch
    • Hipshot hardware
    • inset Dunlop strap locks
    • generic black hardshell case
    • 35" scale

This bass sounds as good as it looks! Here are some MP3 sound clips done a while ago, gives some basic tones the bass is capable of. I believe you'll have to download them, don't think they'll stream from dropbox.

    Ignore the crappy intonation, etc.

    Sound Clip 1

    Sound Clip 2

    Sound Clip 3

Let me know if these don't work...

Asking $1500 shipped to CONUS. Will take PayPal as payment, or USPS money order.

    Was this bass always fretless?

I had one just like it with a maple board and a jazz p-up in the neck position. It was an amazing bass. I'm sure this is too.

Yes, it has always been fretless. It is an amazing bass, thanks. I hate to sell, but need $$$ for my daughter's wedding next month!

Just beatiful. Love the lines on the Vortex. They don't show up here too often, either.

Ideally that Spruce and the chambers would put a little wool on those notes. Bet you it's killer. Love the finish, too.

    Cheers.

BTT. I may have a sound clip somewhere of this. Or could come up with something if you'd like to hear it...

I would love to hear a clip of this actual bass! I am really interested in how this sounds compared to an Fbass AC5. Trying to save for an AC5 or 6 (although not very successfully thus far - this darned TalkBass keeps messing me up!!!). The chambered body and spruce top has piqued my interest.

They work fine. The second clip really highlights that low B. Very nice. Thank you.
