up for sale is my 1980 Tokai Jazz Sound. It is in near perfect condition with barely a mark on it. These are considered to be the "cream of the crop" of the lawsuit basses. This bass looks, feels and sounds like a 60's Fender. I had a 66' jazz and this bass definitely held it's own against it, dare I say it might be slightly better.

I decided to sell because I just keep going back to my 70's maple board jazz basses and this one is not getting used. I guess I'm just not a rosewood guy (I sold the 66' too) I think this one needs a good home

    Here's the specs:

Olympic White body with Tort Guard - Very clean with only minimal marks, no big dings.

Maple neck with Rosewood board - frets are in awesome shape, neck is straight, trussrod works perfect, no dings on the neck at all

ALL ORIGINAL down to the last screw. In ridiculous awesome shape for a bass over 30 yrs old

$999 shipped (Canada or Continental USA)

just realized by looking at the pics that the bass is a little "creamier aged white" than the pics. It looks a little whiter in the pics than real life. Just thought I would make mention of that

Lovely basses.I have a 81 Jazz sound. I do believe this is an 84 model. The early spaghetti logo was on these till 82,in 83 they changed to the block Tokai logo then in 84 came out with this script logo, still an excellent bass none the less.
