Hello, up for sale is my Aria Pro II SB-700. Naturally, it's made in Japan at the famed Matsumoku factory. My price is $600 plus actual shipping from Kawagoe, Japan. See Japan Post price charts below for an idea of the cost. To the US it could be around $150 due to the size of the box. Europe and South America would be more. As always, I only charge actual shipping and refund any leftover shipping $$...

This is a rare example of the SB-700 in that it's finished with a 'candy apple red' / solid red finish rather than the customary see through red, oak, or walnut finish. I've only seen one other like it so far...

It's a 1981 version and is definitely a "player's bass" rather than a collector's bass. Lots of dings, scratches, chips (most notably on the corner of the headstock) and other imperfections. There is a slight crack in the finish at the nut but may go to the wood. I have no idea, but I don't think it's a big problem. Please see photos and photo album link below for more detailed pictures.

Also, I did have to have the original pickup swapped out because it was mostly dead (I'll include it with the bass if you want). That's a common problem for SB pickups, unfortunately, and they can't be rewound since the pickups are sealed. The new pickup is also Aria and from the MB series of pickups. It's basically the same pickup but with poles exposed rather than covered. It sounds and functions exactly the same as original. That is to say, the "dual sound switch" is fully functional. It sounds just like an SB-700 should sound. :bassist:

I had it setup with Rotosound 66s (.40 - .95 gauge) and the frets are in good condition. The neck is straight and the truss rod turns fine. It comes with a pleather gig bag.

Thanks and please ask questions you may have...Full photo album here:

Does this bass have the typically wide nut?

Bump - I just bought a "Mavis" gig bag for the SB-700 as an upgrade from the pleather bag it originally came with.
