Up for sale is a beautiful 1981 Mahogany G&L L2000. The neck is not original but is from a 1981 L1000. The neck has an ebony fretboard and plays and feels wonderful. If you didn't know the neck was from a different bass, you would swear it was made just for this bass.

There are a few additional items I would should note:

    1. I am not the first TBer to own this bass. Therefore I do not know the complete history of it.
    2. To the best of my knowledge everything in the neck and body separately is original. It was not completely unusual for G&L's of this period to have a black bridge and a chrome control plate. You will see many such examples if you do a simple google search.
    3. All the electronics work perfectly.
    4. The pickups are slot pole monsters and sound awesome.
    5. It weighs 10.45 pounds.

I am asking $750 shipped. I am not looking for any trades as I am making space for other incoming stuff.

1 3/4". It's wide but thin. I have a 1981 L1000 with the exact same neck (ebony too) and it's one of the nicest necks I have ever played.

One other thing I will add. I love the mellow yet aggressive sound this bass has. If I didn't already have a 2013 custom order L2000 I would just keep it.
