For sale is a super clean example of a 1997 Warwick Thumb bolt-on 5 string bass. Has a Just-a-nut and the cool countersunk Dunlop straplock buttons. Nice clean bass with nothing funky about it especially for a 17 year old instrument. Includes a gig bag. 10 pounds.

Looking for [DEL]$1250[/DEL] $1200 shipped, lower 48 CONUS shipping. No trades. Paypal ok.

Does this have the European Walnut body? Or the Shedua/Ovankol?

I'm not sure. The grain looks more course than walnut to me. It's very nice whatever it is!

Pretty sure these had bubinga bodies...never heard of walnut here.

Very nice. How are the frets? Any dings around the fingerboard edges?

The bodies on these are Ovangkol. Bubinga is used for the neck through models.

Plus, I beg to differ on the "nothing funky about this bass" assertion. There's plenty of funky in that bass! :bassist:

I don't think they started with ovangkol until the early to mid-00's, when wenge was in short supply.
