Up for sale is my Dolphin Pro I bass. This bass is flawless, even the MEC logos on the pickups look brand new. The frets are perfect, neck is perfect, body is unmarked and the headstock is perfect, even the gold hardware is mint. Everything on this bass is as new. Beautiful Wenge neck thru with gorgeous dark Ovangkol body. This bass is stunning just to look at and it sounds as good as it looks. The tones you can get from this bass are nearly endless. Action is low, and it balances like a dream. Comes with original Warwick HSC and owners kit with all the candy. These were discontinued and to order a custom one today would cost you dearly. Im asking $2400.00 shipped OBO. No trades and Conus only. If you always wanted a new Dolphin Pro 5 string, heres your chance at great price. **TAKING REASONABLE OFFERS***

If I recall, these late '90s Dolphin were already discontinued from regular production and were only made by order from the Custom Shop in Germany. I have a '98 4 strings and the build quality is out of this world.

Super cool. I always liked these. I modeled part of a bass I built after the general Dolphin shape. I've owned two SSII 5 strings, a Thumb 6 string, and an SSI 6 string, but never a Dolphin. I wish they made them as sixers! Good luck :)

This is a very tough time to sell, don't get discouraged. I saw basses that usually go in a couple of days, laying around for weeks.

According to Florin at the Warwick Forums Dolphin Pro I's have always been made in such small numbers, and by hand, that they were Crafted in what would be considered the "Custom Shop". But they are a Regular Production bass, just not very many have been produced. 1998 - 2001 models were produced with Ovangkol bodies instead of Boire, and were the last to have the Wenge necks! This one is indeed exceptional!

Ahh, that explains! They are indeed exceptional basses, and the particular ergonomic makes it very well balanced, as you know.
This one looks a twin of mine, but 5 strings.
