I just pulled the trigger on a Lakland US Duck Dunn, so it looks like I have to sell a few of my Skylines to make room.

It pains me to sell this, but I have sale a 2002 Lakland Skyline Jerry Scheff in a Candy Apple Red finish. The Jerry Scheff model has been discontinued by Lakland and is becoming harder and harder to find.

This is a great bass. Immediately noticeable are the two low-output Kent Armstrong Split-Tube pickups, located quite a distance from each other in an effort to cover a wide sonic range. The pickup system includes a preamp, and has controls for cut and boost for treble, midrange and bass, as well as a pan control and master volume. It has a rosewood board, a very comfortable neck with a 1 5/8" nut and a white pearloid guard...and as a bonus I'll add an additional chrome pickguard.

Weight is right around 9.5 lbs on my ever-so-accurate bathroom scale. It will ship with a Lakland Levy's gig bag.

Price is [DEL]$875[/DEL] $850 shipped to the lower 48....payable via PayPal or a USPS Money Order. I'm not opposed to shipping this out of the U.S., so contact me for a shipping quote. Sorry, I'm not looking for any trades.

You can PM me or feel free to shoot me an e-mail to peabody59@gmail.com if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

Both of your skylines are VERY cool. But stepping up to a US is always worth it, especially the Dunn :)

If you purchase before midnight tonight, I will include a free membership to the Talkbass Lakland Jerry Scheff Bass Club!

...although I still get to keep #23 because I know I will own one of these again.

    $850??????

these basses WILL NEVER be made again....they have a unique sound that is really cool....

...and the 2002 Skylines are very close to US quality...I have had 2: 2002 BG (sold) and 2002 Scheff fiver (still owned) and am really impressed with both.

I have the twin to this Scheff and LOVE it! It is the perfect bass for cutting through 2 loud guitarists and a heavy-handed drummer.

If anyone is on the fence, GRAB THIS BASS ASAP!

    Scheff trivia bump...

Jerry Scheff is the father of Chicago bass player, Jason Scheff.

I saw Jason maybe 15 years ago w/ Chicago and was blown away by his ability. Didn't know who he was or what Lakland was at the time.

Cool trivia bump for a sexy bass!

Fantastic bass for a fantastic price!!!
I started with a Skyline Scheff and loved it so much I went nuts and hunted down my current US Scheff.
The Skyline was an amazing bass for the price point...simply cannot be beat for the price.
These are no joke people...the lipstick pups are amazing.
I love mine and will most likely own a 2nd US Scheff sometime in the future.
