FS: 2006 Ernie Ball Music Man Sterling USA made 4string bass, HS configuration. Only weighs 8.66 lbs by postal scale. I looked a long time to find one this light weight. Nicely balanced and great tone. Natural finish with tortoise shell pickguard. It is all original, in great shape, and currently strung with LaBella Deep Talkin' Flats (.043-.104 gauge). Music Man Sterling hard shell case included.

Do You happen to know why this one is so light? It's a beauty.

Weight seems to be luck of the draw with EBMM. I am having a SLO Stingray being built and requested that it be light weight to no avail.
I did get lucky on my Sterling HH. It is 8.2 lbs.

fedenybass - jakka1 summed up my experience. When I was looking for this bass, I probably checked on 30 EBMM Sterlings and only found 2 (this one and one with a single H) that were less than 8.7 lbs. They ranged from about 8.5 to a little over 10 lbs! The ash body seems to have a lot of variability in weight. I checked with a couple of dealers to see if special order one with a specific weight range and was told this was not possible. So it really is luck of the draw as jakka1 said.
