This one is a great player's bass. I played it for a few years before I switched to 5 string basses.

Excellent condition with a few playing nicks and light scratches (nothing major at all)
    Made in USA in 2006
Light weight ~8.5lbs on the bathroom scale
    4 string
    34" scale
3 tone sunburst finish (beautiful satin Nitro Celulous finish that ages like a vintage instrument)
    Alder wood Body
Rosewood fretboard, graphite reinforced maple neck
    Tort pick guard
Hand wound Stan Hinsley Mojo Pick Up
Upgraded with Stan Hinsley wiring harness which includes a 2 way (pull up) passive tone circuit. With the knob pushed down it is a standard high cut. With the knob pulled up it is a passive mid cut so you can get a really good slap tone if you want. When turned all the way down you get an amazing Dub tone that is not available anywhere else!
Solid brass Leo Quan Bad Ass Bridge was stock on this bass
Stung with a broken in set of Labella Deep Talkin flats

This is the classic P-bass sound and feel plus a little extra with the mid cut control.

    It needs to be played!

Sold with the original case candy but no case or gig bag.

    $690 + actual shipping; Paypal
Prefer Local sale (greater Boston) and will cut a better deal for Local Cash

The body is 3 pieces of alder that match very well. These two were taken recently

These are a few years old, but you can really see the matching grain. It has more swirls and little dents now.

It is. I would never sell it if it was not for the fact that I love 5 string basses now and you guessed it my man player is a fender P-5

I found an old picture of me playing this bass. It pretty much went into a hard case after this gig 3 years ago. Case is not included as it is from the Fender P5 that replaced it as my main player. Yeah I know....Hawaiian shirt.......I just got back from 4 years in Hawaii, that was formal wear!
