Up for grabs is my 2013 Gibson EB 5 String. It's Vintage Gloss Natural. The pickups are coil tapped humbuckers. The bass comes with the original Gibson Hard Shell Case. The bass has the new Babicz Full Contact Bridge factory installed. This bass is like new. Never gigged, used in practice three or four times. The natural finish has a lot of nice grain. The bass has a fresh set of DR Hi Beam Legend Flats installed. The case still has the new "vanilla" smell o the inside. Included is a set of strap locks plus the original strap pegs and case candy. I'm more of a 4 string guy. The only possible trade I'm interested in would be a Gibson Short Scale SG Standard Bass (not Epi or faded) or perhaps a Fender American Standard Jazz Bass. If you have something else, run it by me. The bass has the typical thump, but the coil taps really offer a variety of tone variation. These new run around $1,200 for the 5 string version. I'm asking $775 shipped.

I happen to have a few basses I may consider trading a red Gibson SG shortscale with glossy finish, a 2006 black American Jazz Deluxe, also a Carvin LB70 all black, all three American made and are flawless beauties no scratches dings or dents

Ash body. Only 8.4 lbs on my bathroom scales. Tort pickguard. Gibson Rectangular Hard Shell Case, humbuckers with coil taps. Pristine condition. Never gigged. USA Gibson quality. What more could you want?

For trades I'm mainly looking for a Gibson short Scale SG Standard bass (not faded or Epi) or an American Standard Jazz.

Any more detail on the tone? Trying to picture what it might sound like... neck thru L2000? Gibson basses are underrated.

Tone is really subjective. The pickups definitely are not the old Gibson Mudbuckers. I would compare it to G&l with a brighter edge when the coils are tapped. The weight is definitely lighter than G&Ls I've owned in the past.

Due to lack of interest, I've decided to keep the bass and work on my 5 string skills.
