Up for sale is a great vintage Fender Musicmaster Bass. I acquired this bass some time ago with a stripped body, dead pickup, and botched rewire job. I refinished the bass in ReRanch Sherwood Green Metallic nitro (along with nitro clear coat) and did a slight relic job so that the body's condition looked similar to the original neck's condition. I sent the pickup to Tom Brantley, who winds Geddy Lee's pickups, and had him overwind the original single coil pickup to give the bass some actual bottom (the pickup now reads 7.65k). The body and underside of the pickguard are fully shielded with copper shielding tape, and the bass is strung up with new GHS Pressurewound flats. I'm asking $525/shipped OBO. Here's a list of all the details:

    Origianl Parts:
    -Body (refinished Sherwood Green, relic'd)
-Neck (natural wear, original headstock decal, nut might be newer)
    -Tuners (natural patina)
    -Pickup (rewound to 7.65k)
-Pickguard (natural wear, original screws, 1 typical crack)
-Bridge (natural wear, 1 replaced height adjustment screw)
    -Neck plate/plastic pad (nice, s/n-634837)
-Strap buttons (natural patina, original screws)

    NON Original Parts/Missing:
-Pots/cap/jack/wiring (replaced with CTS 250K solid shaft pots, NOS ceramic disc cap, Switchcraft jack, cloth push-back wire)
-Knobs (natural patina, solid metal, setscrew, look to be pretty old replacements)
-Thumbrest (missing, screws probably aren't original)

The neck is Fender's 'B' width, and this one is just under 1 5/8" at the nut. And thanks!

Also, I'm moving quite soon and would like to lighten my load, so the price is OBO.

Is the neck a nitro or poly finis?
    Body finish?
    Thanks.

The neck still has the original finish, though I'm not sure when Fender switched to poly (que the Fender historians!), and the body is all new nitro from Guitar ReRanch.

Bump for a big price drop. I really would like to get this little beauty off to a new owner before I end up moving.
