FS: Beautiful Custom Sage Bass

Discussion in 'For Sale: Bass Guitars' started by valencia0919, Feb 13, 2014.

  1. Hi everyone!

This is a handmade custom Sage bass, made in 2010
It's got Swamp Ash body with spalted Maple top.
The neck is beautifully flamed maple with wenge fingerboard (it is a set-neck, not a bolt-on, as you might see in the picture).
The fingerboard has really cool looking inlays.
It has Aguilar Obp3 in it, with Aero single coil PU. The control is volume-blend-mid-treble/bass.
34" scale length, and about 7 lbs.
This bass is a killer. The tone is sweet, the neck is pretty narrow and plays really nice.
Words and pictures don't do justice, so I won't ramble on too much. I'll ship her in TKL6136 Zero Gravity case with a cheap strap. I don't play bass as much now, and I don't need more than one. So this has to go.
I'm the second owner, and here's the first owner's thread:

Sage guitars' facebook page has some pictures of this bass while it was being made: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sage-Guitars/341974022638
The bass is in excellent condition. I prefer low action, so the action is set pretty low.

    Asking $1300+shipping, Paypal only.

Sages are truly excellent. There are two basses that just practically play themselves when this rather average player picks them up: Ken Smiths and Sages.
